Memorial Day is often considered the first official kick off of the summer season! Help PMMI commemorate our veterans and the sunshine by heading to Mondays on the Mall for a pre-Memorial Day Celebration! Festival of Flowers
Pioneer Courthouse Square, Congress Center and Unitus Plaza
Tattoo Portland designed by Lango Hansen Landscape Architects opens to the public on May 31st. This two-week Festival of Flowers installation will "ink" the Square with a giant heart tattoo composed of zinnias, marigolds, black mondo grass and more. The tattoo rebellion will continue along the downtown transit mall with an anchor design at the Congress Center and a pair of dice at Unitus Plaza. The designs will remain throughout downtown until June 12th when plant materials utilized in the display will be available for purchase at low prices during the annual Flower Sale at the Square.

Roll of the Dice

Unitus Plaza and Portland Mall Management Inc. are hosting a Festival of Flowers “Roll of the Dice” flower installation which will backdrop this special edition of Mondays on the Mall. Celebrate the art of tattoos by getting a FREE henna tattoo by Roving Horse while rocking out to local music!

Sand on the Mall

PMMI is kicking off another Portland summer with Sand on the Mall! This week will be particularly special as it carries the theme of “Sand in the City” to Mondays on the Mall during its third year. Come watch the active sand artists as they carve the sand into amazing sculptures.

Earth Day Celebration

Help celebrate Earth Day with Portland Mall Management, Inc. during Mondays on the Mall. In an effort to keep the community clean and healthy, the PMMI Street Team will be handing out FREE Mondays on the Mall tote bags. Not only are these bags great for grocery shopping and traveling but they promote reusability and keep Portland green! Also, much like Earth, this bag is a gift that keeps on giving: inside each tote is a festive (and tasty) Earth Day surprise!

Also, don’t miss the Too Loose Cajun Band – they’ll be bringing down the block with classic bluegrass with a Cajun zest! Winter Wonderland

Portland Mall Management will be bringing winter fun, warm treats, and great entertainment to the downtown transit line! Professional Ice Carving will be at the Plaza cutting and sculpting multiple ice blocks into life size winter figures. Come down to check out the ice sculptures, enjoy live music and celebrate the beginning of the holiday season.

MarchFourth Marching Band

Last year, MarchFourth Marching Band took over the transit mall during Mondays on the Mall with a dazzling performance filled with action, music, and spectacular stunts. Beginning at noon at Unico Plaza, the infamous marching band will perform for 30 minutes and then will make their way up 6th avenue, with Portland citizens following closely behind, to Unitus Plaza. Join MarchFourth this year as they head back to downtown Portland and prepare to amaze us again!

During their 2nd event with Mondays on the Mall, Fifty Licks Ice Cream is happy to keep your tastebuds satisfied with their delicious collection of ice cream. Stop by for a sample of their summery goodness. Be sure to catch Kazum, the Portland based 'high-flying acrobatic spectacle!' They will be performing a story through stunning acrobatics and jaw-dropping movements. Enjoy their show while sampling your ice cream!
